 Vic joined the True North team in July 2009 as Chief Operating Officer. In his role, Vic manages all the business and operational aspects of the firm. His focus is to ensure that the firm’s people, processes and technology support advisors to deliver on True North’s promise of careful stewardship of clients’ wealth. Vic also leads the firm’s strategic growth efforts focused on merger & acquisition of advisor businesses and teams.
Vic comes to True North with over 33 years of experience in financial services product innovation, development and management. As a Strategy, M&A executive at Bank of America, Vic recommended the acquisitions of FleetBoston and MBNA, and planned the integration of FleetBoston’s consumer products group. At Intuit, Inc., Vic developed and launched online bill payment and online banking services. In his early career at Charles Schwab & Co., Vic drove the innovation of consumer online trading via personal computers. Most recently, Vic served as President of Open Finance Network, a innovative provider of an integrated back-office platform of technology and services for independent advisors. Over his career, Vic has worked for both small companies and large institutions, and brings the best practices of management together from both those environments. Vic received his BA’76 from Yale and his MBA’82 from Stanford. When not at True North, Vic is happily occupied with the busy life activities of his wife Veronica, daughter Isabel and son Joshua, and in service opportunities at his church.
