True North’s Michael Anderson is First Donor to the Newly Reimagined Texas Tech School of Financial Planning Double T Society

True North is proud to announce that Michael Anderson, Senior Wealth Manager and Partner, is the first donor to the newly reimagined Texas Tech School of Financial Planning Double T Society, committing $25,000 to support the program. As a founding member, Anderson knows firsthand the transformative impact of the Personal Financial Planning (PFP) program and is dedicated to giving students the same opportunities he had.

“I donate because I am very grateful for the path and career the program set me on,” Anderson shared. “The Double T Society is an accountability tool and recognition of special alumni and friends.”

After graduating in criminal justice from Seattle University and serving in the U.S. Army, Anderson pursued a law degree at Texas Tech, where he discovered his passion for financial planning. He credits his success to the supportive environment created by his professors and alumni network.

Starting his career at Evensky & Katz during the 2002-2003 recession, Anderson joined True North Advisors in Dallas in 2008 and has been a trusted mentor, colleague, and partner since.

Anderson encourages PFP graduates to maintain their network through alumni boards, donations, and mentoring, ensuring the continued success of the Texas Tech PFP community.
