Senior Director of Growth Strategy
Joining True North in 2023 as Senior Director of Growth Strategy, Doug is responsible for elevating the firm’s positioning in the marketplace by delivering organic growth through defined processes and procedures. He primarily focuses on strategies that are repeatable, scalable and will further expand the organizations footprint.
Prior to joining the firm, Doug was Founder and CEO of The Hub, a faith-based content media and events company, for 26 years which sold to FaithLife in 2020. From vision, to execution, to building and leading a team – those were the strengths that enabled The Hub to be a thriving boutique media company for almost three decades. Prior to that, he was the Founder of Metro Bible Study in Dallas, which was a simple, yet groundbreaking gathering of young adults in North Texas that was attended weekly by 2000 people.
Doug is deeply passionate about people, innovation and problem solving. His professional philosophy is simple: every single business in the world is a people business. Whether it is tech, finance, manufacturing, energy, food and beverage, insurance, or real estate, Doug believes it is either led well or poorly by people.
The firm’s mission is Fulfilling Lives™, and Doug supports this by striving to be a lifelong learner. He is always ready to accept any challenge to help True North and himself ‘get better every day’. Doug seeks to identify and achieve the KPI’s that are unique and necessary for the firm to succeed and continue to be a world class leader in wealth and investment management.
Doug graduated from Furman University with a degree in Business Administration.
He has been married to his best friend, Carrie, since 1995, and they have three grown children (KK married to Cody, Macy and Mac) and live in Fayetteville, Arkansas. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, pickleball, the beach, and anything that involves his family and friends.
